WARNER ARCHIVE: 8 More in Musical Wave with Connie Francis

Warner has posted eight more new-to-DVD titles this week over at WBShop in a musical wave featuring Connie Francis and... Pat O'Brien?

While musicals and Connie Francis are synonymous, the genre does not come to mind when Pat O'Brien is pondered. But that's exactly what we have this week with three Connie Francis and Pat O'Brien musical-comedies respectively. They are:

Connie Francis:

Pat O'Brien:

  • In Caliente (1935) - Dolores del Rio, Leo Carrillo, Edward Everett Horton, Glenda Farrell
  • Garden of the Moon (1938) - Margaret Lindsay, John Payne, Johnnie Davis, Melville Cooper
  • Cowboy from Brooklyn (1938) - Dick Powell, Priscilla Lane, Dick Foran, Ann Sheridan, Johnnie Davis, Ronald Reagan
Also out is the all-star Two Tickets to Broadway (1951) featuring Tony Martin, Janet Leigh, Gloria DeHaven, Eddie Bracken, Ann Miller, Barbara Lawrence and Bob Crosby. Rounding out the week is the 1960's Hanna-Barbera TV cartoon Moby Dick and the Mighty Mightor.

NOTE: Of Connie Francis' four feature films, only Where the Boys Are had been previously released. It went out of print some time ago, but has now been brought back to life as a MOD release at WBShop.

These new DVDs add to the total of over 700 Warner Archive titles exclusively available for rent at ClassicFlix.com. They are now available to put in your rental queue, but may be approximately four weeks before they are available for shipment.
